The Feast Of, that is.
Epiphany is one of the traditional “Great Feasts” of the church. Don’t get stressed out that I’m crossing the Tiber — or worse yet the Bosphorus. But Christians have celebrated it since at least the fourth century, associating it with the arrival of the Magi, and, thus, Jesus’ first appearance to Gentiles. This Gentile is mighty glad of that, and happy to commemorate such a beautiful and significant date in the Church’s calendar.
“For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him.” Romans 10:12
